The AFA in their infinite wisdom is yet again trying to to stop the separation of science from religion. A school in Kentucky has decided to switch to a secular dating system. For those of you who do not know we currently use a religious dating system called BC/AD (Before Christ/Anno Domini (Year of our Lord)). Scientists, rather than switch and have to learn a new year, just want to make the separation between the years that count backwards and the years that count forward by changing BC/AD to BCE/CE which stands for “Before the Common Era/Common Era.”
The AFA does not like this at all since they preach that the birth of Christ is what separates the years. If this were true tho as most biblical and scientific scholars would argue, we would be unsure exactly what year it really was, but know that it’d be somewhere between 1982 and 2002 because the dates that scholars say Christ was actually born were between the years 4 AD and 24 AD. Sorry guys, not 1 AD.

The Scientists also just want to prove that Alphabetical order is always better when ordering things (except at a drive through). Instead of the backwards BAC’s that are taught in the church. In the Christian example we have B before A which is alphabetically inaccurate. In the Secular Science example we have B before C which is alphabetically acceptable by most ABC instructors.
More evidence of the BAC’s being taught in the alphabet challenged schools can be seen by taking the AFA poll on whether or not to switch from BC/AD to BCE/CE here.

In my school I remember that we were always taught to use the alphabet when creating an alphabetical list. Now you can see that they made an attempt at scientific alphabetization but that was soon discarded as “too hard” and the Christian alphabet was applied.
Next week the CCC will teach our children how to Add and Subtract.
1 + 1 ≠ 2
1 + -1 = 2 as God intended

The fast growing site for friends to post pictures and information about themselves for free is quickly going down the tubes. Although the site has strict rules about uploading objectionable pictures or videos. However, there is one major flaw in the design of the site.
HTML coding within the content of the profile information can change the look, layout, and even sometimes the content of the site. This is necessary in order to have any sort of customization on the site since it is not provided by the website itself. This allows users or even friends of users to link to videos or pictures from other web sources. Since these web sources are not monitored by Myspace administrators anything can and does get posted to profiles.
After a quick browse through I was easily able to find all kinds of pornography from straight, to gay, to even bestiality. The big problem with this is that there are no age restrictions to having a myspace profile. Anyone can have one and anyone can post anything. There are no age verification proceedures either during the initial account creation. For this reason it is imparative for parents to monitor what their children are doing and what websites they are visiting. Even a lot of children are posting very racy pictures of themselves sometimes crossing the line into child pornography.
This beggs the question, “Where are the parents?” This answer cannot be obviosly answered. There are many factors that could possibly keep parents away, however for parents to completely neglect what their children are doing on the internet shows great disregard for their children.
I have 2 younger brothers and I do worry about their safety online and in the public. I’m sure since they’re both 16 and 17 that they’ve no doubt discovered the world of internet pornography but I only hope that they have enough sense to understand the difference between reality and fantasy. Most children today without the guidance of loving parents do not.
In conclusion, PARENTS BEWARE OF WHAT YOUR CHILDREN ARE DOING ON THE INTERNET. MySpace.com, although easy and monitored for content STORED ON THEIR OWN SERVERS cannot and do not check the content of the information being linked to and displayed on their pages.
